About Angélica

I am passionate about transforming universities to empower them to thrive in an ever-changing world. As a higher education consultant, I provide guidance to higher education institutions to improve learning and teaching through innovative educational approaches. I collaborate with a global network of universities and educational innovators, bringing to my work a deep understanding and granular expertise in university transformation. I have extensive experience in the Americas and my work in promoting innovation in university teaching and learning also extends to Europe, Africa, and Asia. 

Previously, as Executive Director of Laspau, a former affiliate of Harvard University, I led impactful scholarship programs, including the Fulbright Program for the US Department of State.  I spearheaded Laspau’s University Innovation area, which developed 156 results-oriented programs to enhance teaching quality and drive institutional transformation in over 300 universities, benefitting 14,000 faculty, leaders, and students in the Americas.

    Angélica holds a bachelor’s degree in administrative sciences and management from the Universidad Tecnológica del Centro in Venezuela, with graduate studies in cognitive-behavioral psychology at the Universidad Simón Bolívar and administration and management at Harvard University.

    In her role as Executive Director of Laspau, a former affiliate of Harvard University, Angélica oversaw scholarship programs, including the Fulbright Program for the US Department of State, and spearheaded the University Innovation area developing programs aimed at enhancing teaching quality and driving institutional transformation in universities. Her work in University Innovation benefitted over 300 universities and 14,000 university faculty, leaders, and students in the Americas. Angélica’s exceptional leadership at Harvard University was recognized with an Administrative Fellowship in 2010 and by the Committee on the Concerns of Women in 2019
